Now that my exhibition space has been filled, sanded, and painted, I have a good idea of how I want to display my work. The pieces I have created are symmetrical in design, and I want this reflected in their layout.

Creating Backings for Final Pieces
Now that I have created my final pieces I need to create a way to back them to securely assemble my pieces. I have decided to use a matt black background to bring out the vibrancy in my work, and using a square shape to incorporate the 4 corners usually found in ancient mandalas.
The size of my piece are too large for standard size MDF, so I have attached 2 pieces together using a frame around the edges, to get the size I need.

Therapy in the Repetitive
Now that I have a firm plan on what my final piece will consist of, I am currently printing all the images needed to create it. This involves a mass production of screen prints, I have found this process of repetitive creating therapeutic in a sense. The body takes over and the mind wonders, it is this automatic movement that Jungian theory is centred around, creating through unconscious effort.
